NATIONAL PET MONTH 2025: SUPPORTING PETS, EMPOWERING OWNERS

National Pet Month 2025 is here!

This year we’re celebrating the joy of rescue pets, promoting pet friendly work places and retail spaces, ditching table scraps for healthy, balanced diets, plus lots more.

With input from leading pet and vet professionals throughout the month, we’ll share simple but effective steps to keep your animal companions healthy and thriving.

Running from April 1 – May 1, this year’s campaign will shine a light on how to find the right pet for your lifestyle, support good behaviour and training from the start and make responsible choices when it comes to pet health and wellbeing.

Throughout April we will explore the five key welfare needs – Companionship, Behaviour, Diet, Health and Environment – through advice, #NPMLive shows and inspiring stories.

• Companionship Week from April 1 – 7: Highlighting the joy of rescue pets, how to find the right pet for your lifestyle and the trend of pet-friendly workplaces and retail spaces.
• Behaviour Week from April 8 – 14:  Understanding pet behaviour, early training and how to support pets through change.
• Diet and Health Week from April 15 – 21: Promoting healthy eating habits and low-cost ways to keep pets active.
• Environment Week from April 22 – 30: Exploring how to create safe, enriching spaces for pets and how owners can be more environmentally responsible.

We’ll also mark World Animal Vaccination Day on April 20 by raising awareness of the importance of vaccinations in preventing disease and keeping our pets healthy..

The campaign kicks off with our #NPMLive show on March 17, streaming via our social channels, where we’ll share a sneak preview of what’s to come.

Throughout the month, we’ll be spreading  #PetPawsitivity and #VetPawsitivity stories and pics. So, whether you want to celebrate your pet or thank a veterinary team, tell us about it so we can include you and your pet.
