UK Pet Food (previously known as the Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association or PFMA) was founded in 1970 and has been serving the nation's pets for over 50 years. We are the 'go to' trade association for pet food manufacturers.
Our current membership consists of 103 companies, representing both manufacturers and suppliers, and accounting for over 90% of the UK market. We also welcome affiliate membership for those working with the pet food industry.
We take our role in feeding and nourishing these much-loved family pets very seriously. Being a member of UK Pet Food demonstrates that the pet food producer is committed to adhering to strict legislation and owners can have complete confidence they are addressing all their pet’s nutritional needs.
We are dedicated to supporting members and, as the responsible voice of the industry, we speak on their behalf to the government, the media, and other stakeholders. We have three key pillars of activity as detailed below.
